Complementary Paratransit Service
and Route Deviations
Persons certified as disabled and unable to get to the regular bus stop can request curb-side pickup from locations within 3/4 of a mile of the regular bus route. On all routes, except the Placerville route, this will be handled by deviating the bus during its scheduled trip. To arrange such a deviation, riders should call at least 24 hours in advance. There is a .25¢ additional fare charge, per trip, per person for off-route deviations.
In Placerville, a special complementary paratransit vehicle will provide service, within 3/4 of a mile of the regular route, for those unable to get to the regular bus stop. Reservations for this service can be made 1 to 14 days in advance, and the fare is $1.50 per trip.
El Dorado Transit reserves the right to evaluate locations for accessibility and safety before granting route deviation and paratransit service requests.
To find out if you are eligible for these special services, call El Dorado Transit. More information about the ADA Certification process is also available on our website.
